Some key recruits to watch for tomorrow
Written by EC Rules

Should be a fun day tomorrow as the LOI's will start rolling in to Pullman first thing in the morning.

Here are some of the key names to keep an eye on as the day unfolds and make sure you read on for a surprise name that hasn't been mentioned anywhere before to my knowledge:

.

Asante Cleveland. He's between us and Miami. A true toss-up and the family has been silent since he took his trip to Miami. This guy could wind up being the best player in the class if we can land him.

Deon Goggins. A JC Dtackle that seemed to be down to WSU, Baylor and Syracuse. USC came into the picture very late and has been making a play for him. He would be an immediate contributor at dtackle and possibly a starter.

David Mahoney. Bizarre final list for this JC Dtackle. I would be surprised if he went anywhere other than WSU.

C.J. Mizel. Yeah, this is a little surprise for you. We can confirm that Mizel was on campus this weekend. We don't know the WSU connection to Tallahassee but he's a really intriguing player. His background is a little bit sketchy with some minor run-in's with the law. He's also had some admissions issues falling short of a qualifying test score last Fall. He signed with Florida State last year and was considered a Top 5 linebacker in the country. It will be an incredibly intriguing storyline to follow over the Spring and Summer if this kid's letter hits the fax machine in Pullman. This could be a Michael Black or Randy Estes type of situation. Make no mistake, if this kid is looking to escape bad influences back in Florida and Georgia this could be the perfect place for him. This is the type of talent that you can't typically bring to Pullman without taking some risks. Let's hope it pays off for the program and the kid.

Erick Dargan. He's between us and Oregon. Long considered an Oregon lean. He's been quiet and plans to announce with his teammates….both of whom are committed to WSU. Did the recent problems in Eugene (players tossed off the team, accused of robbery, beat-up and put in the hospital) do just enough to nudge him to Pullman? Again, a kid that would have the chance to wind up being the best player in the class if we were to land him.
