WSU Rumors Update!

Sterk and Moos are thick as thieves

As discussed in an earlier column….something has been going on in the Athletic Dept that affects the AD. Again, NOTHING READY TO BE ANNOUNCED PUBLICLY/OFFICIALLY but it appears that Moos is close to finalizing a contract with WSU. It does not appear that it is for the AD job because that would eliminate his non-compete with Oregon. However, it does appear that he is going to be stepping in to help in a role that will focus on fundraising for WSU. Best of both worlds as far as all parties are concerned. Moos gets to keep his non-compete and the money that goes along with it and WSU keeps Sterk on his current contract and they benefit from additional thinking from a proven fundraiser in a critical period for the Athletic Department. Again, things could go sideways at the last moment but it appears that Moos and WSU are far down the path of bringing him on in a consultative role. Not a minute too soon if you ask us.

Aaron Dunn's color is Crimson

Expect him to break the news to The Coug fan sites in the next week or two. We've learned that Dunn is set. He's coming to Pullman. Great news for us. He's our highest rated recruit in the class and he further solidifies the stronghold Wulff has developed in Spokane. This staff is about as good as it gets at holding on to current commits. So far over two years we've lost exactly one recruit that committed to us and de-committed. That is as impressive as any number in the country considering we've won three games in that space of time.
